The ESU Speech and Debate Squad consists of outstanding debaters at British universities selected through competitive interview for their skill in teaching, demonstrating and judging public speaking and debating. Each year members of the squad take part in tours to support the activities of overseas ESUs, working with school children, university students, ESU members and professionals. Squad members also experience the life and culture of the country they visit through a programme of hospitality and entertainment provided by the ESU in that country.
In 2008 Squad members will visit Bermuda, Chile, Estonia, Finland, Israel, Japan, Lebanon, South Africa and the United States.
