The UCU Debating Union - the society that brought you the first ever Iron Man BP tournament – will be organizing another tournament, this time open to everyone, by the very same OrgComm!

At the UCU Open 2010, there will be:
- CA: Adriaan Andringa (WUDC Cork 2009 Octofinal Judge, EUDC Tallinn 2008 Main Quarter and ESL Semi Judge, Cardiff IV DCA 2008 & CA 2009)

- DCA’s: Manos Moschopoulos (WUDC 2010 Best ESL Speaker), Isabelle Loewe (EUDC 2006 ESL Champion, Jacobs Open 2008 CA) and Steven Nolan (Generally Brilliant – EUDC finalist, Oxford IV finalist)

- 5 preliminary rounds, 5 minute speeches, with a break to semi-finals

- NO separate ESL-break, but we will award prizes to the best ESL team tab

- Prizes for the best novice team on the tab. So as a society, do send us your novices for some early-in-the-academic-year-experience!

- One of your last opportunities to get some last-minute training in for the big tournaments (Oxford, Cambridge, etc.)

- About 40 teams: this means about 100 fun debaters that you really do want to spend a weekend with.

- No teamcap for non-Dutch institutions. A preliminary teamcap of 6 teams per institution will be enforced for Dutch institutions.

- N-1 rule. However, we are flexible and willing to accommodate institutions that cannot meet this.

- All meals provided on Saturday, and dinner on Friday

- Crash provided, but do bring your own sleeping stuff

- A great social after the final!
